Guidelines for naming pages. The name is the part of the url after the 'site root' or 'index.php?title='. The name of this page for instance is 'Help:Naming pages' which in the url is shown as 'Help:Naming_pages'. Below are some examples of how to name a page:


Department or chair:

  • Department_name
    • example: Media_Studies
  • Chair_name


Course and sub pages:

  • Course_name
    • example: mEYEsite
    • example: Material_Science
  • Course_name:_Subject
    • example: mEYEsite:_GPS_workshop
    • example: Material_Science:_Plastics


Course codes:

  • Course_code (on the page of the course code you should use a redirect to the related 'Course_name')
    • example: AR0320
