Sketching in a 3D environment
Curve based modelling is based on the concept of using curves as a basis for 3D geometry. This closely resembles the traditional use of hand drawings in the design process. There is one main difference. In the computer we can sketch in 3 dimensions. Once the 3D geometry is generated it can be adjusted by altering the curves which it is made of.
Introduction
This strategy can also be applied in Rhino en provides the novice digital designer a familiar design environment.
