Batch rendering

From TOI-Pedia

Arnold

When you perform a batch render with Arnold on your own computer, you will get a watermark if you do not have a valid license for Arnold. To prevent the watermark you have to add some settings in your computer to obtain a valid Arnold license from TU Delft.

Windows[1]

In Windows you have to add a system variable.

  1. Via Windows start logo go to Settings.
  2. Enter in the search box Edit the system environment variables
  3. Click on the button Environment variables
  4. Add to System variables a new variable. Choose New...
  5. Enter in the top field Variable name: ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE
  6. Enter in the bottom field Variable value: 27016@flexserv4.tudelft.nl
  7. Close all open windows with OK and restart the computer.

Open Maya and perform a batch render. The first time your Windows firewall might ask for permissions and allow access.

macOS[2]

In macOS you have to create a text file which will be located in your Home folder.

  1. Open TextEdit
  2. Enter a line with ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE=27016@flexserv4.tudelft.nl
  3. Save it as plain text file in your Home folder and name it .flexlmrc

Open Maya and perform a batch render.
