A new sheet has been created called 00 Level Sheet. Now we will change the Visibility & Graphics settings of this view. These settings we also want to use for the other floor plan views. To do this you can create a Template from Current View. This is to prevent changing the settings for every floor plan view.

There are to two steps to create a View Template:

  1. Change Visibility & Graphics settings.
  2. Create View Template.

Change Visibility & Graphics settings

To change the Visibility & Graphics settings of the model go to the View tab, Graphics panel and Click Visibility/Graphics. Here you can change the settings. The keyboard shortcut is: VV.

  • To hide the imported AutoCAD drawing. Go to the Imported categories tab and deselect Imports in Families.
  • To hide the Grid. Go to the Annotation categories tab and deselect Grids.
  • To hide the Room Tags. Go to the Annotation categories tab and deselect Room Tags.
  • To hide the Sections. Go to the Annotation categories tab and deselect Sections.
  • (With the Visibility & Graphics settings you can also hide the Levels in your Elevation views.)

It is also possible to show your walls as a Solid (black colour), the current Scale is set to 1:100. The Detail Level can be set to Coarse.

  • Change the Visibility & Graphics settings, go to the Model categories and then Walls. There Click on Override... at Cut - Patterns. And select Solid fill for the Pattern.

Now create a view template based on your view settings.

Create View Template

Create Template from Current View
Name View Template

Apply Template Properties to Current View
  • Go to the View tab, Graphics panel and Click View Templates. Now Click: Create Template from Current View.
  • Choose a Name for the new View Template - Floor Plan ON4.

  • Create a duplicate of your second level in the Project Browser, above 00 Level. Rename this level to: 01 Level Sheet.
  • Go to the View tab, Graphics panel and Click View Templates. Now Click: Apply Template Properties to Current View.
  • Now your View settings are applied to your 01 Level Sheet. This process can be repeated for the other floor plans.
