Cleaning and Fixing
Some of the functions have a Test option to preview what the script would do. Feedback is put in the Log window.
Conform texture locations to project path
If you forgot to set your project at any time, the locations of the textures may get garbled. This function will try to find the files in the sourceimages folder of your project and fix the locations in the filenodes.
Clean sourceimages folder
The script considers all files in the sourceimages folder and determines whether they are used in any filenode (e.g. for a texture). If it's not, the file is moved to a directory _unused in your sourceimages folder.
Clean unused filenodes
Considers all filenodes. If they're unused, they are deleted.
Delete unused Hypershade nodes
This is a link to an existing Maya function to clean all unused Hypershade nodes.
Options for Mental Ray
Specific Mental Rays options.
Convert ALL texture files to .map
.map files are much more efficient than jpg or other image formats. This function will create a .map version for all images. The original files won't be touched.
Switch to use .map files
Once you've created .map files for all images, you need to switch all filenodes to use the .map files instead of the original images.
